 Mary Campbell Cree (MCC for short) Mary has spent her whole working life in IT that is now 35 years and has over a decade of experience working as a recruiter. She has worked for major organisations here in Wellington and overseas in both Europe and Australia, such as IBM, Computer Associates, Praxa, Mobil Oil, British Aerospace and British Oxygen. Mary spent many years as a software developer, relational database guru, technical and project manager before moving into sales and working as an account manager, then sales manager and branch manager. It is that combination of technical roles and sales in her background that caused a recruiter in Sydney to suggest when Mary decided to end her career in IT that she should become an IT recruiter, as she has either been, managed or sold across the whole industry. That was 1997 and she found her niche. Mary is a director and founder of MCC People. She set up the company in 2005 encouraged by friends and family and a number of her clients and candidates who are now personal friends. She is passionate about helping clients and candidates to make the most of themselves. It's not just about sending candidates to clients it’s about relationships. With her vast experience in the IT industry Mary is highly skilled at matching the right person to the right role and hence her approach to recruiting is extremely thorough and comprehensive. “I am a firm believer in telling it like it is! Honesty is the best policy. My intention is to give the support and advice that I feel is needed and not just what people may want to hear. I genuinely care about people and my advice comes from the heart”.
